This Milliman Solutions breach occurred when the MOVEit file transfer tool was attacked near the end of May 2023. When a serious vulnerability was discovered in that tool, allowing databases connected to it to be attacked, information managed by Milliman was lost along with data for more than 130 additional companies. The lost data included significant personal information that could lead to serious security vulnerabilities.
